Comments:  My daughters, grandchildren and many friends participated in the GYRIG walk last Saturday. My oldest daughter, Kim Burke, lost her battle with colon cancer in August 2009. She was a wife, mom of a sweet little girl( 2o months old when her mom passed away), and cherished daughter. We have participated in two GYRIG walks and plan to continue. I still amazes me how many young people are affected by this terrible cancer. Cheer to all your work for Colon Rectal Cancer.

Comments:  Hi David! I am one of the nurses who took care of you after your diagnostic colonoscopy. I think your wife would remember me better than you, we found out together you had colorectal cancer, believe me I was shocked too, we dont like to find it either. You are so right when you say she is your rock. That was evident from the very beginning. I was in awe of her honesty and strength, I knew the two of you would be fighting together. Most of all I am so glad you have beaten it!! We are forming a team and will be slowly walking in the 5k Walkathon on Oct.9th. Thanks for being our inspiration!!

Comments:  As a 20-year surviver in the same disease that took my mother the same year, I applaud you in what you are doing. Colon cancer , as you know, is one of the easiest cured if found early. Screening is essential, which is why I am going in for my every five year colonoscopy March 19. When I was in treatment in 1991 there wasn't the support that you provide with this website. Thanks for doing this as it will help many survive.

Comments:  I read the article in the paper today. My husband would of been 47 yesterday. He lost his battle with colon cancer at age 38. Our boys were 5 and 6 at the time. He went to the doctor first symptons. They thought they got it all in surgery. A year later check-up colon was clean but liver was full of cancer. He still is a big part of my boys lives and I remarried 3 years ago and boys love having a new dad. God is good and through all things brings good from it. Love to help with your organization. My husband wrote emails through his battle and I am finally getting them put together to be published in a book. It sometimes seems like yesterday evevnthough its been 9 years.

Comments:  Yo bro of mine! I just wanted you, and everyone else who reads this, to know how proud of you I am. Not only for fighting your fight over this past year, but also for taking the initiative in putting together this foundation to benefit others. Based on what you've told me about your friend David Kinman, I know he must be looking down with great pride in knowing that his fight, as well as yours, has not ended. Instead, it has taken on a different form in the way of this foundation. I am humbled and honored to be your brother and your friend. Love ya!
